How a family account works
1. Parent email
A parent or guardian enters their email and signs in with a one-time code.
2. Consent first
The adult confirms consent before Humdrum stores any child information.
3. Writer profiles
Create up to five separate profiles so each writer has their own stories, tools, and library.

Make one writer profile. Let the child pick a prompt or roll Story Dice, then write a little.
Same week
Open the same story or begin another. Try a Side Quest if the child wants more structure.

There is no assigned number of minutes and no streak to protect. A little writing still counts.
After day 14
Keep Humdrum Free. Subscribe only if Premium is earning its place.

How does family signup work?
Try writing lets a child begin before signup. A parent or guardian creates the family account when they want to keep the writing and add writer profiles.
Do I need a credit card to start?
No. The 14-day Premium trial does not require a credit card, and there is no automatic charge when it ends.
What happens on day 15?
The account moves to Humdrum Free. Prompted and blank writing, saved stories, editing, the library, writer profiles, and Author Bio remain available. Subscribe to Family Premium to keep the additional tools.

Can I see what my child wrote?
There is no separate parent dashboard. The parent owns the family account and can sit with the child in the account. For an export, email hello@noticehumdrum.com.
Does AI write the stories?
No. Kids write every word. AI only notices techniques that are already in the child's writing, and kids never chat with AI.
Is Humdrum a curriculum?
No. Humdrum is a creative-writing space. It can sit beside a curriculum or be used on its own for voluntary writing practice.
